The goal of Hospice care is to allow patients with a life limiting illness to remain at home during much or all of their illness, relatively free from pain, surrounded by family and friends and living life as fully as possible. Volunteers are utilized in many capacities of Hospice care. Whatever your skills or talents, there are various opportunities and challenges for you. Hospice volunteers are vital to all Hospice programs and are necessary for Hospice of Orleans County's continued success.
Of the 115,000 persons involved in Hospice care in America, some 95,000 are volunteers. Each year these volunteers give more than 5 million hours helping Hospice patients and their families. Won't you join our team?
