Bereavement Support

Bereavement SupportHospice support continues after the death of a loved one with specially trained bereavement counselors. This facet of care is not reserved for Hospice families only. It is open to anyone suffering the loss of a loved one regardless of prior affiliation with hospice. Hospice offers bereavement counseling for thirteen months after a loss or as long as needed.

Grief Support Meetings - are offered every Thursday night at 6:30 pm at our office on West Ave in Albion. These meetings are open to anyone in the community as well as to all of our Hospice families.

Hospice Payment Procedures

Hospice services are available to everyone. Hospice of Orleans is certified to seek reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance companies. The primary physician continues to directly bill the insurance company. Patients who do not have private health insurance are still eligible for Hospice care. Hospice of Orleans will work with the patient and family to develop a reimbursement plan.
