Spring Floral Bouquet Sale

Spring Floral Bouquet Sale: Mar. 3 ~ 6

Purchase beautiful spring flower bouquets between March 3rd and 6th for $7 each, with vases that are available for $2 each. Flowers can be purchased at various locations in the community shown below. Please contact Hospice at 589-0809 for more information.

Albion: The Apollo restaurant, Ace Hardware, Bloom’s Flower Shop, Mark’s Pizzeria, Save a Lot, Fishers Newsroom, and of course the Hospice Office on West Ave.

Medina: The Book Shoppe, Apple Blossom Florist, Beauty Fair, Medina Hospital, Shirt Factory Cafe, A Kut Above, Rosenkrans Pharmacy, Vision 2000, Beverages and More, Mark’s Pizzeria, The Country Club Restaurant, Cas-Nic Cookies, and Creekside Floral & Design.

Annual Meeting Luncheon Annual Meeting and Volunteer Luncheon: Apr. 29

This event takes place at 12:00 noon in the Community Room of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medina, located at 1357 West Avenue. The Luncheon Buffet will be catered by the Shirt Factory Café. Ducks Ahoy 12th Annual Ducks Ahoy Race: July 4

Sponsored by the Lyndonville Lions Club, the 12th Annual Duck Ahoy Race will again be held on July 4th. More details to follow, but save the date!



Golf Scramble 14th Annual Golf Scramble: July 28

Join us at the Hickory Ridge Golf Country Club and Resort in Holley, NY for a great day of golfing to benefit the community served by Hospice of Orleans. More details to come, but save the date!




Highlighted Past Events




2009 Light-A-Life Memorial Service:

Many local families touched by loss, took time out of their busy holiday schedules to remember and honor their loved ones while supporting the services of Hospice. The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony was held on Dec 5th on the front lawn of Hospice offices. The white pine tree was lit for the holiday season, and decorated with special memorial ribbons and ornaments in memory of family, friends and loved ones. Following a short ceremony accompanied by a bagpiper.

2009 Brown's Berry Patch 5-K Race: 5K Race

The 15th Annual 5K Cross Country Run/Family Walk was held at Brown’s Berry Patch on October 10th on a weather perfect day. Thank you to all who participated or came out to support Hospice of Orleans.



2009 Annual Ducks Ahoy Race: Ducks Ahoy Race

The Hospice of Orleans 11th Annual Duck Race was held on July Fourth in Lyndonville and raised $3500. The perfect breeze ensured that more than 1,000 ducks swam quickly down the creek. $1,500 in cash prizes were awarded to the four fastest and the four slowest ducks. Congratulations to Jim Marek, $500, Dave Hydock, $300, Kyle Stephens, $200, Dave Hydock, $150, AJ Monacelli, $125, Sheri Forder, $100, Karen Enderby, $75 and Kay VanNostrand, $50.

Sincere thanks to all who supported this event and to those winners who donated all or a portion of their winnings back to Hospice. Special thank you to the Village of Lyndonville for its hospitality and Lyndonville Lions Club for their sponsorship.



2009 Annual Hospice of Orleans Golf Scramble:

July 29th, 2009, marked the 13th annual Hospice of Orleans Golf Scramble. Held at Hickory Ridge Golf Course, this event is one of the best attended fund-raising events in the area. The golf tournament raised over $12,000 for Hospice of Orleans. Congratulations to all our golfers for helping Hospice help those who need us in Orleans County. Start planning your foursome for next year's event!



2009 Summer Bonanza Yard Sale:

In the course of preparation, set up and the two day event, an army of 30 volunteers, under the leadership of Elizabeth Jubenville contributed 269.5 hours to the “New to You Summer Bonanza Yard Sale”. The total raised was $1,700 and will be used to support Hospice programs. Thank you to all who donated and purchased items.
